Our Monthly Note - September 1, 2025
PanelClaw and homeruns installed in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.
Friends,
I hope this note finds you all well and enjoying the long weekend. Pine Energy had another busy and productive month in August. I am thankful for all of our work. I hope you also have productive.
In August, we built plenty on the roof. We were in Marietta, Georgia; Peachtree Hills, Georgia; Louisville, Kentucky; Enfield, North Carolina, Greensboro, North Carolina; Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania; Charleston, South Carolina; and Chattanooga, Tennessee. We installed several different racking systems: IronRidge, PanelClaw, Solar Stack, and Sun Ballast. And we installed on churches, schools, manufacturing facilities, condominiums, office buildings, and apartment buildings.
On the ground, we were in Marianna, Arkansas; Columbus, Mississippi; and Athens, Tennessee. We're installing an OMCO tracker and an OMCO fixed tilt as well as an APA fixed tilt system. Our projects are supplying power for banks, schools, and manufacturing facilities.
This month, we have a new person joining our team in the role of Business Operations Manager. During the interview process for the position, I was asked a good question in the context of our company culture: what does kindness mean to you? I was happy to be put on the spot. It's easy to say nice things like "safety, kindness, and professionalism." But what do these things actually mean?
We talk about it on our website, so I discussed those sentiments with the candidate. But I focused on the following idea the most: "We assume we have each other's best interests at heart and always give each other the benefit of the doubt. Unless someone gives us a reason to mistrust, we do not mistrust. We assume good faith."
Kindness really counts when it's hard to be kind. When you're upset about something but you need to be patient and figure out why the other person is doing what they're doing. More often than not, it's not because they're against you. It might be a simple misunderstanding or maybe the person is having a bad day. To me, the biggest indicator of kindness is the ability to give each other some grace. That’s how we try to operate.
As we grow, we try to discuss our values and culture more often internally. It’s important for each teammate to know that we strive to work with safety, kindness, and professionalism while building a company that's focused on caring for each other and our partners and achieving positive results for all. We believe that with these values and culture we can build the best possible solar installations for our clients and their clients.
We will have a busy September. Rooftops continue in some of the same places mentioned above, as well as new locations. And ground mounts continue in Mississippi and Tennessee as well as new ones in Paris, Arkansas, Calhoun, Georgia; and Toccoa, Georgia.
I look forward to another great month, and I look forward to seeing many of you at RE+.
Thank you,
Jason
