A repower project in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

In August, we were fortunate to start some good work in old and new places. We’re thankful for the work and the opportunities that our clients are providing.
On the ground, we were in Kentucky and Maine. In Kentucky, we began a repower project in Bowling Green. We’re removing over 7,000 modules and replacing them with over 5,000 newer, stronger ones. We’re seeing repower work more often. We aim to be very thoughtful in our estimating so we’re efficient and competitive in pricing. In Maine, we completed installation of modules on our OMCO Choice fixed-tilt in Winthrop. We also completed racking and began installation of modules on our OMCO Origin tracker in Auburn. With good weather and continued good work in September, we’ll complete our work in Auburn as well as the final project in our portfolio in Acton. It will represent over 4.8MW across four sites.
On the roof, we worked in Flowood, Mississippi; Woolrich, New Jersey; Fort Mill, South Carolina; Chester, Virginia; and Woodbridge, Virginia. We worked at department stores, grocery stores, office buildings, manufacturing facilities, and schools. We installed mechanical, DC, and AC work across these projects. Racking included IronRidge BX, PanelClaw clawFR, Unirac Ecofoot2+, and Unirac RM.
August trainings included safety toolbox talks and another company lunch-and-learn. Our toolbox talks covered heat illness prevention and pinch points and hand injuries. Our lunch-and-learn covered our DC scope of work. The lunch-and-learn was a nice way for everyone at the company to learn more about work that some of us do every day and some of us rarely touch. Cross training installers is one of our priorities, and this lunch-and-learn allowed us to introduce people to new concepts.
